Since tomorrow is a month away from the tournament I wanted to repost the rules now that they should be finalized.
Also if your name is on the list and you know you will not be attending please let me know, or if you name is not on the list and you want to attend please let me know. Right now, I know of 5 other people that might be coming from out of town for this even. If I need to make more room for tables, and get more terrain I need to know now.
1. Tournament will be 1500pts one FOC. One list for all games.
2. All models must be WYSIWYG. Counts as is allowed as long as it is easy to tell what the model is suppose to represent. (i.e. My Lascannons count as Missile Launchers)
3. Scratch built models are allowed as long as more than 50% of the model is made up of GW parts. Sorry no Malibu Stacy Dream Car being used as a land raider. If unclear ask me before the tournament.
4. Everyone will play 3 games with predetermined missions that will not be announced until the start of the tournament.
5. Players will be awarded points for Battle, Sportsmanship, and Paint.
6. Models do not need to be painted but your paint score will be hurt.
7. No Forge World list, or units. Models are allowed as long as they count as something else.
8.Must bring All supplies needed to play the game. Templates, dice, ruler, Codex, rule book.
9. Must bring three legible copies of your army list. One for me, One for you, and One for your opponents.
10. The GW FAQ's will be used.
11. Space Marine players will use the equipment in their own Codex. This means Blood Angels Storm Shields are only 4+ in Close combat, while Ultra-Marines are 3+ for both shooting and assaults. As a Blood Angels player, i don't like it but those are the rules.
During the game I will verify the Army list. If errors are found, depending on the serverity of the error, games played my be forfeited, or even asked to leave the tournament.
I don’t expect to have this problem, but I like to include it in the rules just to be on the safe side.
Scoring:
As mentioned before there will be three missions. One will be kill points, one will be Objectives, and additional which might be objectives or it might be kill points. Each mission will have special rules which will not be announced until the tournament.
For each battle you can score up to 20 Battle Points and an additional 3 Bonus points. You will also score your opponent up to 10 points for sportsmanship. This gives you a total of 99 possible points.
Before the tournament everyone will judge their three favorite armies 1st, 2nd, 3rd. The top 3 armies will be awarded bonus points of 10, 6, 4 .
I will also award each person up to 5 points based off of a check the box questions. It is possible to get some points without having any paint on the models.
Prizes:
Depending on the number of players I hope to award prizes to
Top General (All points earned)
Sportsmanship
Paint
Incase of ties Sportsmanship will be first tie breaker followed by paint.
Paint will not be a major factor in points but all things even a painted army will beat an unpainted army for best Overall.
Entry fee will be $10 and all entry fees will be used for prize support. The more players the larger the payout. I hope to award prizes for Best Overall, Best painted, and Best Sportsmanship. But the number of players will determine the number of prizes.
Doors will open at 9:00, but I will more than likely be there early setting up tables. First game starts at 10.
Schedule
9:00 – 10:00 Doors open and registration.
10:00 – 11:45 Game 1
